This notice provides an update about the measures we are taking to protect our staff, volunteers and the people we serve during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
These measures are based on guidance from Habitat for Humanity International and local, state and national public health authorities. We are continually monitoring the situation, and our approach may change as new guidance is provided.
For ReStore Volunteers: Effective immediately, until further notice, the store is closed to the public. Although we depend on our shoppers, donors and volunteers to help make the store the success that it is, these are unusual times and we feel that this is the prudent thing to do for now. We want you to be safe.
RESTORE UPDATE: We are trying virtual shopping at the store. Please check out our Facebook page for details. The store is still not open to the public for shopping.
For Construction Volunteers: Construction at The Glen will continue through Friday, March 20, so that we can get the first two houses dried in and the site secured. If you are signed up to work but feel unwell or any member of your family is unwell or any of you have traveled recently outside the country, been on a cruise or know that you have been exposed, please refrain from joining us. We realize your health is your top priority. If you are registered but decide not to volunteer, please let us know so that we can adjust our plans accordingly. After Friday, work on the construction will be suspended until further notice.
We recognize these measures may be disruptive to your plans, but given our local conditions, we feel these are the right steps to take. Please know that we are constantly monitoring the situation and will update our plans as new details emerge. Thank you for your continued support as we navigate this public health crisis together.
