On January 31, through generous donations from residents of Colleton River, we raised the walls for the last house in Phase One at The Glen for the Bermudez family. This is the 11th house sponsored by Colleton River Club Friends of Habitat where, coincidentally, Mr. Bermudez is an employee in facilities maintenance. “We are so grateful for the continuing generosity of the Colleton River community,” stated Patricia Carey Wirth, President and CEO of the local Habitat affiliate. “They have been donating and volunteering to build Colleton-sponsored houses for over 15 years which is just amazing.” In addition to sponsoring three of the 16 houses, Colleton raised money for the road into The Glen, Habitat’s first community on Hilton Head Island.
