Habitat Hop: February 12, 2010

Habitat Hop is a fund raiser to support the work of Hilton Head Regional Habitat for Humanity. The dance will be held on February 12, 2010 from 7 - 11 PM at the Shorelne Ballroom on Hilton Head Island. A live and silent auction was also a part of the evening's festivities

                                                 New Ridge

On July 19th Habitat held the dedication of the third house to be completed in New Ridge.  The house was sponsored by Colleton River.  It is the fifth house that Colleton River has sponsored.  New Ridge is a Habitat community located in Ridgeland off Fordville Road and will have a total of four homes.

 The forth home in New Ridge, which is being sponsored by Sun Trust and Oldfield, will be dedicated on September 20th at 10 am.  A dedication is a ceremony turning the house over to the new owner.  The house is blessed and the family is presented with a new Bible.  Dedications are very moving.  Members of the public are invited to this special event.  Please call the Habitat office for more information.

Once Habitat completes the forth house in New Ridge, we will move to Promise Way in downtown Ridgeland behind the Courthouse.  We will build 10 homes on Promise Way.

New House dedications took place on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 10:00 am at Brendan Woods in Bluffton, SC. These are the last two houses built in this Community. Come celebrate the completion of our affiliates largest project to date (a sixty-one home subdivision) and thank the volunteers, sponsors and homeowners who built these final two houses with the Turner (local generous donor) and Chavira (Catholic Churches - Holy Family & St. Francis) families.
